Bay Vista was built by Gerry Kott in 1953 and moved to its current location in 1958. Originally a 2 bedroom/1bathroom cottage with an unfinished attic, it is now a 3,700 square foot, 5+ bedroom/4.5 bathroom home. The challenge on this home was to modernize and expand it to fit the needs of a young, growing family who loved shingle-style architecture and entertaining, without losing the warmth and character of the cottage style home. The 2,700 square foot addition included an open concept kitchen that Food Network called the ‘Perfect Kitchen’ when it featured it in the second season of Ultimate Kitchens.
